Prayer. . . One of those things we all need to do and one of those things we can all use. It is easy to say, "I'll pray for you." but how often do you follow through and actually say a prayer for someone?
We have a very active email prayer chain. There are currently more than 20 participants including some of our youth. If you want to be part of this chain, just email your request to add your name and email address. There are requests nearly every week for someone who is going through a time of struggle and could use your prayers.
Throughout this life, there are always times when someone needs help. The first and best way to help someone is to pray for them. And your prayer should be that God will help them by giving them strength and comfort to wrestle with any problem they may be having. Your prayer should always include concern about the person's soul . . . that they are right with God.
Prayer is nothing more than a conversation with God. He doesn't care what words you use or how well you say things. He does care that you speak from your heart. There is no fooling God. So, don't try to make bargains. We all do it and we seldom hold up our end of the deal anyway.
Be true to God, be true to yourself. Ask for help when you need it.
